인천국제음악콩쿠르는 인천관광공사와 중국글로벌국제음악가협회가 주최하며, 한국국제교류문화협회, 서울국제문화예술교육센터, 마카오글로벌국제음악가협회, 싱가포르글로벌클래식스테이지가 공동 주관하는 청소년 및 전문 연주자를 위한 국제적인 관악·현악 경연 대회입니다. 이 대회는 대한민국 관광공사와 인천광역시의 공식 후원을 받고 있으며, 인천국제음악콩쿠르 조직위원회에서 운영합니다. 콩쿠르 심사위원은 한국과 중국의 저명한 교수 및 전문가들로 구성되어 있으며, 관악·현악을 전공하는 젊은 연주자, 청소년, 전문 음악교사들에게 국제적인 교류와 성장의 기회를 제공하는 것을 목표로 합니다. 인천국제음악콩쿠르는 단순한 경연을 넘어, 콩쿠르·마스터클래스·오케스트라 리허설·연주회가 결합된 새로운 형식의 대회로 운영됩니다.
본 대회의 대상 부문(Grand Prize Group)은 관악과 현악 부문이 격년제로 시행되며, 2026년에는 현악 부문이, 2027년에는 관악 부문(금관, 목관)이 진행됩니다.

​전공 부문(Professional Group)과 비전공 부문(Non-Professional Group)은 매년 개최됩니다.

The Incheon International Music Competition is organized by the Incheon Tourism Organization and the Global International Musicians Association, in collaboration with the Korea International Association of Cultural Exchanges, the Seoul International Education Center of Culture and Arts, the Macao Global International Musicians Association, and the Singapore Global Classical Stage. It is supported by the Korea Tourism Organization and the Incheon Metropolitan Government.

The competition jury is primarily composed of leading professors and artists from South Korea and China. The competition aims to build an international communication platform for exchange among young musicians, students, amateurs, and instrumental teachers dedicated to the studies of orchestral instruments. As a newly established event, the Incheon International Music Competition integrates competition, masterclasses, orchestral rehearsal sessions, concerts, and other related activities.

This competition follows an alternating format between string and wind instruments: 2026 will feature the String Competition, and 2027 the Wind Competition.
